Art Elective

String Art

String art is characterized by an arrangement of colored thread strung between points to form geometric patterns or representational designs.

String Art anyone can do -  if you can use a hammer you can create a beautiful art piece. The students will choose their own pattern or design, the background paint color, as well as splatter colors to compliment the design. Next, there will be a few days filled with  hammers hitting nails to create the outline of the pattern or design. The remainder of the elective is used to weave the colorful string between the nails. All of these steps will lead to a beautiful string art to proudly display.
