This week in Science class..........
8th grade students used the Engineering Design Process to build a model of a snowboarding half-pipe ramp. Students had to design a decline ramp that would guarantee enough potential energy to make it to the landing area (the cup in the model), but not too much potential energy so that the snowboarder would fly over the landing area.
